HI there. Just started with HA and I have my Wink Hub 2 configured via the instructions and the developer.wink.com site. I have a few different Z-wave switches using my Wink. In my overview I see “switches” and “Light” that map to Wink. So my questions are:
How do I get rid of these and add them to other groups? I can’t seem to find how to figure out what the entity names are or anything about them really. The Switch.Wink doesn’t have much info.
When I switch one of the lights, it goes on, but the toggle switches back to “off” and the light stays on. I can’t seem to turn it off in HA
The states page < > this icon at bottom of left hand menu will list all your entities… if you scroll through the list you should see light.living_room or switch.bathroom or whatever they are named. That is how you can start adding them to groups is with that specific entity name.
As far as the slow response or no response I had that issue as well but mostly with hue bulbs through the wink hub so eventually I just use the hue bridge instance of the lights. There may be scan_interval settings for some devices that will make the switch show the state more quickly.
But I would recommend that if any of your devices have direct support in HA to use that (like a lightify gateway etc) instead of passing it through the wink hub. Lights and switches are the only thing I have had any issues with through my wink hub… many other door sensors, locks, garage door through wink hub that all work great and are very responsive… Maybe someone else spent more time working on the light not actually working all the time through Wink but as I said I just moved to the hue bridge for the lights I had problems with.
Sorry didn’t really answer your first question … I personally would start by making a default view page as the first one with everything can be overwhelming if you have a lot of devices… or just make a second page so you still have both to look at… https://www.home-assistant.io/components/group/
Hmmm you switches should act like you mentioned. When you toggle them they will “bounce back”, but should then settle in the correct state after a couple seconds.
