As of Nov 2023 I do not see an option within the HACS integration nor the integrations overview page to add a custom repository. All I see is application credentials with the 3 dots. I’m trying to add Scrypted on Home Assistant docker.
As of Nov 2023 its still documented.
Documentation links don’t help when the docs don’t reflect what we’re seeing. I go to integrations, add integration… there is no option for HACS. I have no indication under any menu option to add custom repos nor HACS.
It’s documentation for HACS.
If it does not match, then you do not have HACS installed.
And you are looking in a place not described in that documentation because you think it’s similar.
Try this
This worked for me
As it said in this post
the documentation does not match.
Indeed, in the /config/integrations, the 3 dots only gives a “Application credentials”.
Even the “HACS” is not available for download for integration.
Do not know what to do.
Ok, I think I found the way.
.First you have to install a SSH terminal. (add-on)
.Run the HACS download script (wget -O - https://get.hacs.xyz | bash -)
.Restart HA
.add HACS integration
.Restart HA
Custom repository is available.
Anybody has the same problem? I click on Custom repositories and the enter Repository name and Type and after clicking on ADD nothing happens?
HACs is so dumb
When I try to add a specific branch of a repository it says that the repository already exists … How do I get rid of the main repository from HACs then ?

I’m just now running into this issue. What’s going on here???
Well for me, I just installed the custom repository and branch manually but it would be nice for HACs to have the option to install a specific commit
Someone has an idea how to fix/solve the following regarding HACS:
In the past in added some custom repositories. But i dont use these anymore so i want to delete them to keep HA clean.
My first thought was that i would go back to the HACS hamburger menu → custom Repositories and press the red bin to delete them. But only 1 item is showing there. All previous ones (that are still there somehwere) don’t show up.
When i navigate to “settings → devices/services → HACS” i can still see the “old integrations” i want to have deleted. But also no option there (only a disable option).
Also when visiting via “devices” i see the old ones but also no option to delete it or remove the custom repo path/url.
Example with this one:
How can i make sure to delete these ones? Where/how can i remove older custom repos?
I don’t get it… ( or i am looking at the wrong places…)
