HACS Component Remote Home Assistant: How to see the devices and entities on the master instance?

Hello there,

TLDR;

I have two instances of HA (on HAOS), connected with Remote Home Assistant (a very hard name to search for in the community!). The slave (server) has a Conbee deconz usb dongle and I’m trying to get the entities to show up in the master (client) Home Assistant, so I can assign them to areas, use with Assist (also hard to search for!) etc. The logs seem to show the instances connected and the devices/entities show up in the logs of the master, but I don’t see them under devices and services.

Are they not supposed to? What’s the intended way to use Remote Home Assistant and access the slave devices from the master device? Perhaps I’ve misunderstood how the component is supposed to work and I need to find another approach.

Background - probably not relevant
I have Home Assistant installed in a virtual machine, working very well with devices and entities that communicate over the network. I also have some Zwave, Zigbee etc. devices, so I’ve been trying to figure out the best approach to use them in Home Assitant. Until recently, I had deconz installed on a rpi with an older second openhab installation, and this worked well over the network until I had an issue with the device and had to re-install. So I wanted to do it with Home Assistant OS and use the Remote Home Assistant component. This approach worked well with openHAB (i.e. two instances connected and the devices showing up natively in the main instance).

Is Remote Home Assistant the main or most supported way to run a main instance without any physical components, extending it to Zwave/Zigbee and other networks using a rpi?
