HACS Custom Frontend Elements - I just don´t get it :(

Hey guys, this might seem to be a really stupid request but I just don´t get how the custom Frontend elements from HACS can be implemented in my Lovelace dashboard

So here is the problem: Some frontend elements that I got from HACS I can easily add to my Dashboard after I downloaded them. Others just wouldn’t even show up to be added, even when the files have been downloaded to the corresponding folder (config/www/community/).

Can anybody please enlighten me what is the magic trick to make these elements available to add? :mage:

Suggest to not be vague and clearly point to WHAT is not working, start with 1 or 2 if there are more

What is not working is, that the downloaded frontend custom integration don´t show up in the visual editor for the Lovelace dashboard to be added

Which one…give a name … ‘the downloaded’ can refer to dozens

Alright, one example would be this one: GitHub - johnrbell/Gauge_CSS: Pure CSS Gauge. It's pretty.

And why do you think this is written for HA?

Because it´s available in HACS…

This is not the same repo as your first link
EDIT it is BASED on the other one

Yep - no support for visual editor - and the example yaml is shown at the bottom of the page you screen-shot. if you want to use this card you have to add it manually.

And the examples in the repo show that you need to hard-enter it as yaml, it has no gui config

Alright, I just figured it out. I wasn´t aware, that there are frontend integrations that can only be added manually - Thanks much guys for your patience!

No probs… just ask the question with as much as possible details
