This morning, I saw there was a update for HACS. Since I had been getting errors in my log about ‘Ophaalkalender repository being archived’, I removed the component and I updated Hacs. Result : config/custom_components directory removed. Same on my other HA instance.
Hopefully you had a good backup.
I just saw that there is a new update for HACS. Are you saying I should wait on doing that update? Which version were you on and which did you update to?
Just as a data point, I updated HACS to 0.24.2 this morning (pretty sure it was from 0.24.0) and it’s working fine - in fact, it cleaned up my custom components directory of old things that weren’t being used anymore, as well as removing the log errors about “xxx repository being archived”.
I don’t think it was the upgrade that was the cause, but the uninstall of the componont with the ‘repository being archived’. I just copied over my custom_components folder from one HA instance to the other, so no harm really done, since both instances run the same custom components.
Same happened here!
To me too
Francis…sorry about the offtopic. I can’t reply on the other topic because it says I reached the reply limit for begginers. I edited a message there. Could you take a look please?
Francisp, thanks for your help on the other topic. I edited my message again. Begginers should be able to reply more than 3 times, since we need more help. When you have some time, please help me there. Thank you so much for your time and patience.
I’m having the same issue. I tried everything.
Sometimes is when I restart, other when I update.
I have a consistent message that HACS is outdated. When I try to update it, it takes for ever and eventually I get out of the pop-up and nothing, no message, no entry in logs.
Driving me a little crazy
Overall everything works, I can install and update stuff in HACS, but HACS itself gets deleted from the custom_components folder. if I restore it everything works fine again.
