HACS installation - no worky

I’m new to Home Assistant. I’ve installed 2021.1.1 on a RPi 3B+. I have the SSH add-on and a GitHub account. I have the Samba add-on and can navigate around the file system via Windows Explorer. I’ve done a little tweaking to configuration.yaml. I’m using the SSH web UI to try to install HACS. All attempts to install HACS are met with this:

Sorry about the screen shot; I’m sure there’s a way to export text to a file, but I’m not familiar enough to do that yet. Any tips on HACS installation?

It’s installing now. I’m afraid this won’t be the first rookie error I make.
