HACS sensor/notification on HA Dashboard

Hi everyone,

I used to have a dashboard showing HACS that need to be updated. I believe after new changes/upgrade this default card need to be updated. Unsure how though. Maybe anyone can show a clue? Sharing YAML code? TIA

Was also wondering this…

There’s not really any need.

Updates for 3rd party stuff installed through HACS show up in the HA update page now.

Each one gets it’s own update.xxx entity so you can put them in an entities card if you wish.

I’m thinking of deleting mine as it really serves no purpose.

Imho the most important info - which updates are pending.
What plugins are installed - is a less important info.

Currently HACS page shows pending updates on the top:

But it does not show “skipped” updates - in this example the only pending update is skipped by me as unneeded & there is no any hint on a screen that this update is skipped. Since I know which updates are skipped - this issue is not a problem for me…

What is more crucial for me and cannot be solved by a particular view - HACS sometimes misses updates (even if I asked to account “beta” versions) & does not show them as “pending”.

Hi all,

I finally fixed the problem by only setting up HACS update only. Which is very simple. Basically it replace sensor.hacs with update.hacs_update

Are you sure this is not for HACS itself? and not the adons you have installed…?
