Hi
I am trying to set up an iframe widget to view my BT Home Hub 5 on 192.168.1.254.
When I use http://192.168.1.254 or 192.168.1.254 in the url section no web page appears. I was wondering if it was trying to use and external web address rather than the internal.
Thanks
do you use encryption for your dashboards?
if you use https for your dashboard, you probably cant view http pages in an iframe
The dashboards are http but are exposed for an SSL proxy to make them https but even if I connect via http they still don’t work
i think you will find an error in the java console
(CTRL + SHIFT + I) in chrome
iframes always are a bit of a problem when it is about internal/external links and encryption or not.
I think the whole https http thing might be an issue is there anyway to expose 192.168.1.254 to and external IP address or duck dns for example
off course you can give that address free in your router and use a duckdns address to go to that address, but then everything goes over the internet to come back to you.
and you probably dont want it externally reachable without password and encryption anyway.
I attempted access it over http with the following errors
if you are allowed to use that link directly in your browser, then it is an encryption problem like i thought.
Do U know how to fix
do you use dashboards outside your house?
if not it could be helpfull to lose encryption in the dashboards.
