HADashboard vs Lovelace Button-Cards (w/ CCH) vs HA Control Panel for tablet operation

I am helping out a friend set up multiple HA tablets for his rental apartments.

He has one main HA instance set up with entities for each room (swtiches/sensors etc) very nicely named according to type and room.

We are trying to set up a tablet for each room to have operability limited to its own entities.

  • Fully Kiosk browser will most probably be used as it has a bunch of features and is very easy to set up (unless you have different suggestions)

He wants to set up a simple and neat buttons interface and i’ve been looking for applicable solutions.
I have found three so far, that seem to be doing the same thing so i’m coming here for help from someone that perhaps has used all three so we dont have to go through trying everything.

  1. HADashboard, which seems to be created specifically for this, but runs over the extra hadeamon component.

  2. A combinaiton of Lovelace-button-cards with Custom Compact header (to enable per-user tab visibility for the obvious reasons) at least until the per-user visibility is implemented natively in hassio.
I have personally only spent time on this solution, and believe that it must be the most lightweight and depending on lovelace which is nice too.
I am also wondering if there’s a way to combine the button-cards with monster-card filtering options to automatically create each tab’s content (per room filtering).

  3. And lastly, i recently found this HACP Home Assistant Control Panel thingy, that i’ve never heard of and looks too good but i’ve bumped into it within the comunity forums so, im scpetical. (their ssl certificate seems to be expired or something, so they didnt give me the best first impression)

Am i correct to be looking into those three?
Are there other alternatives?
Anyone with prior experience on how the above three solutions compare?

Thanks in advance

Wondering how you went? Can you use the Lovelace approach with custom header, or did HAdashboard add features/behaviour you needed?

Hey,
We didn’t go through with the project due to several reasons.
But, almost one year later, I think I would still go with the Lovelace option.
I must say I have not used the other two options but in my house, I have several tablets and users, all with their different setups using Lovelace, custom Header and button cards.
