While having chosen HAOS installation on generic x86 64 as the option, the tutorial has a link to the ISO file in GitHub which seems to be broken. Where can I get the correct HAOS image file for my requirements
Note: make sure you don’t use a RC and maybe choose 12.4 (the previous stable release) because I see some reports about v13.0
I tried to fix the page but it is a templated link I do not understand. Have let the devs know but the documentation maintainer is on holidays.
The generic-x86-64 for HAOS 13.0 image should be fine. Are we talking about this page: Generic x86-64 - Home Assistant? The link works for me. Maybe a temporary GitHub outage?
Note that this image is not suited for virtualization. And there have been reports with HAOS 13.0 issues for ova (the virtualization image name). But all links should point to 12.4.
Click on the link in step 5 here: https://www.home-assistant.io/installation/generic-x86-64#to-install-haos-via-ubuntu-from-a-usb-flash-drive
This is behind a URL on the page you are referring to: https://github.com/home-assistant/operating-system/releases/download/12.4/haos_generic-x86-64-13.0.img.xz
and returns
I already gave feedback on GH about it.
Regarding using v13.0 (or not) I have seen some posts but didn’t read what was going wrong.
There seems to be major issues with VM installs. Everyone else is fine.
I had a similar issue.
Turned out Adguard was blocking github.
Went to Adguard querylog and allowed HA to access it.
Solved my issue.
