I have an old Terramaster NAS that is just sitting there. I’m considering installing HAOS directly on it to boot directly rather than their TOS. Just wondering if there is anyway to set up an array on it in order to be able to store video from Frigate? This would give me a nice redundant storage setup with plenty of space for video storage.
If you install HAOS. You likely will not be using as NAS function/feature from that point further
Frigate may be ge installed as addon in HAOS in which case the storage will be provided for
If you install frigate on seperate device and only use the integration in HAOS, seperate storage for frigate will be needed
If you want to dual purpose your device for HAOS and NAS storage, look at VM or docker install
