HAOS Recovery after PSU failure

Hi everyone,

I think I’ve just had my first hardware failure. It looks like the power supply for my Raspberry Pi 4 died, and in the process it likely corrupted my Home Assistant OS install, making it unbootable.

Symptoms:

  • The Ethernet port blinks for about 5 seconds, then shuts off, and repeats in a loop.
  • I can’t reach HAOS on its IP address — neither on port 8123 nor 4357.

Based on this, I’m assuming the SSD/boot partition is corrupted. I managed to extract my two most recent weekly backups using DiskInternals Linux Reader.

Question:

What should my next steps be?
Is there any way to repair the SSD, or is it better to do a clean reinstall and restore from backup?
