If I remember correctly, you will need to edit the grub.cfg file to permanently set the boot slot order to one or the other. I seem to recall it was quite an easy process - I bookmarked the instructions in case I need them again but having a look just now seems I’ve bookmarked several sites, but I’ll share anyway as they’ll point you in the right direction.
