Going to re-do my entire Home Assistant setup since my old laptop is all but dead and picked up a Intel NUC but it is a bit under powered so I want to see what you all think it will handle without catching fire
NUC Specs: NUC is a NUC7CJYH with Intel Celeron J4005 @2.00GHz, Kingston 120BG SSD, 1 rail of 4GB Kingston PC4-2400 SODIMM which I can upgrade to 8GB by adding a second rail.
Needs/Wants: HAos, Frigate for NVR, Samba NAS addon, Tapo addon, Plex Media Server, Lutron, Konnected Alarm, Tailscale, Google Drive Backups.
The Plex Media Server is not a 100% necessity as I have one already running on my 2019 Shield TV but if the NUC spec are up to it and can handle the PMS functions smoother than the Shield TV that I would not mind moving over to it.
Since the NUC has a memory slot I was thinking about a 256GB SanDisk Ultra in that slot to use as the NVR drive?
Pros/Cons? Thoughts/comments?
