Happy Friday All!
I am relatively new to this forum, but not entirely new to home automation.
Home-Assistant is very new to me and after some conversation with a few, I am extermely intersted in the capabilities.
I have a relatively specific issue though. Allow me to briefly explain:
We have a Lorwe 16 channel wired camera system (currently 12 cameras, hard-wired to network based DVR.
Using this system (already invested money, and not interested in scrapping this to find a replacement), my issue is the following:
I need to solve TWO main problems:
1.I want to make the individual camera video signal available to the TVs in my house via the existing cable wiring (indiviudal camera video on individual channels) (rf modulation? Some less expensive?
2. I also want to have the video channels available to home assistant. These are not IP based cameras and I am happy to leave the DVR to do its thing (record, take pictures, search, etc.) I just want to video feed(s) to be available
I am all ears for thoughts, solutions, ideas. Perhaps make my own RF modulator? (need a schematic so I can select the channel and do on the cheap) Other ideas?
Thanks in advance.,
