With the hardware box from home assistant, is it possible to install a mqtt broker on it?

Yes, it is.

Yes, this is a standard Home Assistant OS image running on an Odroid N2+ (with a fancy case).

So you can install any addon that supports the ARM architecture, which includes the Mosquitto addon.

How about letsencrypt, is that also possible on the hardware box?
