Hardware opinion intel j3710

Looking for advice on some hardware for a more long term solution with home assistant. Currently running on a pi3 I had laying around to see how I liked it compared to smartthings. So far its been going well and is very stable for the past three months. Most of my house is hue bulbs because I scored them about 3 years ago at home depot for 75% off. I have about 45 bulbs, 10 zwave devices, and some ikea blinds. Im running the zooz zwave stick s2 and will be getting a conbee 2 delivered today. Looking at purchasing a Lenovo ThinkCentre M600 Tiny J3710-1.60GHZ 4gb Ram on ebay. Right now can get it shipped for $45 to the door. I want to run the x86-64 os version directly on the hardware with no vm, docker, ect. Questions I have:

  1. Opinions on if this is much of a step up compared to buying a pi4? Dont know much about the J3710 cpu compared to say an i3 but it looks like its meant for low power situations. Just wondering if its even that much better than a pi4.

  2. How is stability on the x86 os version? I know it use to be for NUCs only and how its more generic to work with other hardware. Does anyone see an issue with running on this?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I run an HA instance on an intel atom with 2Gb ram, so you should be ok if you don’t plan to add a lot of cameras.

Thanks! Right now I’m running all Eufy cams. Was super happy with them at first but they never delivered on half the promises they made. Have set one up using rtsp but not using any image detection on it.
