Hi this isn’t a question it is more of a telling of a weird situation with Harmony hub!
For a couple of weeks my iMac kept in going in to a deep sleep even though I set it not to as I run HASS, Plex and other services I need to be running 24/7.
I tried everything from running Caffeinate, keep disk alive and even at the end of my tether chatted to Apple for tech support! (the usual basic checks and recommend reinstalling Mac OS!) predictable! I even swamped through pages of logs and couldn’t work it out, until today.
I realised that it crashed whenever I ran a routine with Alexa which controlled my harmony hubs. I removed these from the routine and the issue stopped, i then, by process of elimination narrowed it down to my dining room Harmony Hub. I checked the set up and configured right and then realised that a few weeks ago I added my iMac as a device in Harmony hub. Whenever I used a switch to turn the hub off it would put my iMac to sleep! I removed it as a device in Harmony hub and the problem has gone! Very bizarre. Has anyone else come across this? Can anyone think why this would happen?
Actually not that fussed about adding it as a device and at this stage I am just curious
