I’m running an ISY944 with soooo many scenes and programs. I’m worried that with the demise of Insteon, when a switch eventually breaks, I won’t be able to replace it.
Has anyone started transitioning off of Insteon? Do you know of any guides? Do you replace scenes and programs with automations? I’m dreading this project.
As my insteon switches failed, I replaced them with Belkin Wemo switches that I hoped would be a good long term solution. Unfortunately, most consumer grade options have at most a 3 year warranty. And I have already had to replace two of these under warranty.
My Insteon switches, ISY, and PLM have been gone for over a year now. I use the HA Wemo integration and Node Red. I’m not completely satisfied with Wemo because of the setup complexity, reliability, and their persistent attempts to “phone home” to company servers (which I block) but HA and Node Red works for me.
