Ever since the .49 upgrade, hass doesn’t seem to know where my phone is (from the iOS app). Pressing the ‘update location’ option lags for many seconds, then I get the notification of the onetime event being fired, but the hass doesn’t update with the location
Probably not the answer you’re looking for, but I’ve personally given up on the iOS app location function for now. OwnTracks is way more accurate and responsive for me.
I tried many combinations of having them both on/just iOS/iOS locations settings set to always/when app in use with no luck…
In the end using just OwnTracks for location, and iOS for actionable notifications has worked for me. I still use Pushover for other notifications as it supports all platforms.
I agree with azeroth12. the iOS app just didn’t work for me. It doesn’t look like there’s any active work to resolve the issues, so I switched back to OwnTracks.
I disagree with that - Owntracks, for me, was pretty terrible until i introduced bluetooth beacons everywhere. iOS location tracking, without bluetooth, was (for me, at the time) just as good as Owntrack’s location with bluetooth.
This bug is new for me. But it could be my instance. There’s a lot of weirdness going on for me that I’m trying to track down in hass itself.
