Hass.io Can't create container from addon

Hello, I need help with this problem I have with my setup.

I’m running Hassio on Intel NUC through Proxmox. Everything is OK except I cannot start one of my addons - motioneye.

Here is the error I get:

19-08-03 12:30:34 ERROR (SyncWorker_6) [hassio.docker] Can't create container from addon_a0d7b954_motioneye: 409 Client Error: Conflict ("Conflict. The container name "/addon_a0d7b954_motioneye" is already in use by container "596387b4d5cacf8ef13bd49e2cbada6d272b777743fd44360f330ecbecdcfcca". You have to remove (or rename) that container to be able to reuse that name.")

I have a backup but cannot restore it fully for some reason. I always end up with the same error above.

I tried uninstalling the addon and reinstalling it while doing full power down and power up of my system between and I’m still stuck with the same error.

I’m stuck and don’t know what to do in order to sole my issue, tried searching the forums but didn’t find any solutions.

You can install the portainer addon which lets you view and manage all of the docker containers; from there you can see if you already have the motioneye container there. Maybe you can delete it from docker and try to add it again via hassio.

Thank you very much for help but unfortunately I’m still stuck. I tried this few times and this does nothing. When I open the portainer it shows me I have image for motioneye. Deleting it does nothing. By deleting I mean removing image then uninstalling the addon, restarting Hassio and reinstalling the addon again. It returns the same error every time when I want to start the addon.

Oh, and I can’t remove or rename any of the containers because my list in portainer is empty.

I really don’t want to start from scratch with entire config  It’s just I don’t have the image in proxmox and recovery in Hassio is terrible.

Have you unhidden the hassio containers in portainer?

That did it. I’m really grateful, thank you very much for your help.

One more question, do you know if I can pull the config for motioneye from that addon container?
