Tonight after telling my girlfriend she was crazy and alexa wasnt turning on the sprinklers she proved me wrong.
Were using the latest version of hass.io on an Odroid XU4, and signed up for the cloud service to support the project and have easy alexa integration.
She ran an alexa routine- ‘light up the deck’ , it simply runs a tiny HA scene to turn on a ge z-wave outdoor switch and a z-wave bulb. 2 seconds later all the backyard zone ‘grape vines’ turned on and sprayed me. I thought she was screwing around so I took her phone and she was able to reproduce the issue 3 of 5 attempts. Note: Alexa doesnt have access to our smart sprinklers but HA does
Fast forward I’m laying here in bed and fire off the ‘Goodnight’ routine and she turns on a light and a TV in another room - and fails to perform the normal actions. I’ve gone through every single file and it’s all as it was yesterday before we encountered any issues. The only thing changed was we updated to the latest version of hass.io and performed a normal reboot a few minutes later to comb the logs and make sure we didnt have any errors.
Were going to have to remove alexa so she doesnt start any prints or mess with door locks or the garage and potentially make things less safe. Anybody seen this or have troubleshooting steps?
