What is “a lot” of time for you?

My SD with hassbian no longer working, just install hass.io, I’m used to it taking a few seconds with hassbian , now with as i see almost 5 min.

That’s normal? or Because i copy all the YMAL file from my hassbian to the new hass.io?

I’m used to it taking a few seconds with hassbian , now with as i see almost 5 min.

I found the same thing with HassIO restarts take much much longer than with VENV based setup.

VENV based HA restart takes less than 30 seconds for me, while HassIO based HA restart takes over 5 minutes.

I’m not entirely sure why this is, but I imagine Docker overhead has something to do with it.

Hopefully someone who it more experienced with docker/hassio may be able to shed some light on why restarts take 10 times longer as it may something I did wrong somewhere?

yes, as i see not more Hassbian ?

I use Raspbian with a VENV install which is essentially works like Hassbian but Raspbian is kept up to date by the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

there is a good way to move from Hassbian to hass.io? :frowning: i copy all my file and still did not working .
image all config work on Hassbian, and same configu as ha page.

Maybe, I did the opposite to you, I used to use HassIO and now have moved to Raspbian.

THere is a HassIO section on this forum, if you post your config file there then hopefully someone will help you work out what the problem is. Good luck

I used this guide:

Make sure you use the latest Raspbian Buster so you will then have the correct Python version
