This would be a great feature to have, i can think about at least few different automations i could do thanks to being able to mount network shares.
- Automatic backups with uploading to an external server (it can currently be done using rsync, assuming that the server is linux based and has working sshd)
- Access to my cctv footage allowing me to include videos in notifications.
- Monitoring files
Apparently HASS image already includes cifs utils so letting users to mount shares should not be much hassle to implement.
