HASS OS update to 7.0 does not install to HASS OS 6.6 in a VM

I am running HASS OS in a VM since over a year. Current HAS OS version in the VM is 6.6.
Up to now all OS updates ran through smoothly. However, the update form 6.6 to 7.0 downloads but does not install. There is more than enough free space on the filesystem.
(Interestingly the update did work fine on the HASS OS 6.6 installation on a RPI4).

Is this a known problem with this update?
Any ideas whats going wrong, what I can do to get it to work?

Same issue for me - on multiple setups VM and RPI 3

Same here, running in QEMU

Update creates a backup before install.

Maybe database is too big

Same issue for me

Same issue just on a full HAOS setup. Creating backup but see a fast error message I can’t read that fast. Then back again and didn’t update

Worked for me (Hyper-V).

Same here on a Pi

Solved deleting the DB (it was 1.6GB)

I tried is several times and after I updated the core an tried it some times more, the update was carried out.

Let me try it also. The rest is updated.
@thepedro I use MariaDB for my db. So that can’t be the problem for me.
