Hassio audio not working

I’m having trouble getting audio to work. I see the hassio-audio container running, but checking the logs, I see

The line in particular that attracts my attention is
W: [pulseaudio] module-udev-detect.c: Failed to open /proc/asound/card0: No such file or directory

So, the device does exist if I login to the OS. But if I switch into the hassio-audio docker container, /proc/asound is completely empty. Pretty good chance that’s my issue. Any good hints on how to correct this? What’s really weird is if I do “ha audio info”, it sees the card and I can set it as the default/pick a profile, but I never see it show up in the container, even after doing “ha audio reload”.
