Hi. I have been running hassio on a raspberry pi 4b for about 2 weeks now. Whenever my router reboots / temporarily loses connection, the raspberry pi / hassio refuses to reconnect by itself.
For example, when I reboot the router, all my other devices will automatically reconnect to the router once its back on. The raspberry pi never reconnect. I have to manually unplug the Lan cable and plug it in back after 10 seconds for it to reconnect. can this be solved?
Hassio version : 0.97.2 - still the same in 0.98.1
Raspberry pi 4b 4GB
hassio downloaded from https://github.com/home-assistant/hassos/releases/download/3.4/hassos_rpi4-64-3.4.img.gz)
Does anyone else face this?
Bump… no one else has this prob? Is it only me?
I seem to have the same issue since update to 109… Did you find a solution?
Unplug and replug of the LAN cable does not always work.
I had reinstalled a vanilla system on a different Pi 4, and this happened after the first reboot. Only AppDaemon and Samba along with a couple of integrations were installed…
Hi. No i did not. I gave up. No longer using Hassio. This was a deal breaker

Thanks for chiming in. That’s a pain as I love some of the hass.io features…
Hi. After your post, i started messing with it again. I had already repurposed the pi4 as a media center with libreelec.
Then i installed HA trough docker. I no longer have that problem and everything works.
I guess libreelec handles the network better
Hey Anand,
Thanks for the update. I got this going as well. Looks like Hass with its constant writes to drive creates corrupted microSD cards issues. Solved this by installing HassOS with a split partition: Boot on the SD and Data on an SSD. Works well until we get an official boot to USB Hass image…
Looking forward to the boot from usb to. At the same time i wish i dont have to reconfigure everything
