I do the hassio install on an SD card and start it in my raspberry pi 3 but when I’m setting it up I don’t see any of the options that the install directions show. For example, in the general settings there is supposed to be a “Check Configuration” option but I don’t see it. Also my configuration.YAML file has none of the location settings that the setup information talks about. Do I have to install something else to get these options or am I just missing something?
Check configuration moved. Configuration, server Control.
Documentation is probably out of date. The preferred method is using the GUI in the configuration page.
Which is broken…
Configuration>Server Control> Check Config
Works for me. How is it broken?
The GUI configuration page where you choose your location from the map is broken. (Not check config, sorry for the confusion)
I used that the other day and it worked (setting up a new test system) How is that page broken?
When you click ‘save’ it says ‘fail’.
I didn’t see that happen to me…
Maybe it has been fixed, I saw an issue posted on github. Sweet if it is.
For “Check Configuration” you need to go to your profile (initials in to lowest left corner) and from there enable “Advanced mode”. After that you can go to “Configuration”, “Server Control” and now you can see the “Check Configuration” option.
Configuration.yaml file is different than in documentation because documentation is outdated and many of those options have been moved to gui or just not enabled by default anymore.
It seems your installation is just fine! Welcome
