Hi guys, I have been trying for days to import my Home Assistant OS backup to my VMs in Unraid, I created VMs of Debian and Ubuntu in which I tried to install Home Assistant Supervised several times, now I followed this guide:
Obviously I don’t have to host Debian on Raspberry, but Debian is hosted on the Unraid VM, so I followed the steps in the section: “Section 2 - Install OS Agent, Docker and Dependencies”
WARNING, I had to download Docker version 20.10.11 because of the CGroup1 & CGroup2 issue (I watched this YouTuber’s video to see if version 20.10.11 was going: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivBPS5-zi04&t)
Once I ascertained that the Docker 20.10.11 version was going I went to this site:
Index of linux/debian/dists/bullseye/pool/stable/amd64/
to download the correct Docker, ran the wget and dpkg command on Debian and then proceeded with the rest of the tutorial at: Installing Home Assistant Supervised on a Raspberry Pi using Debian 12
it all works, but once I import my Home Assistant OS backup to Home Assistant Supervised it doesn’t apply the full backup to me, but only those of the added components and I see them like that:
I can’t even start them, and I don’t understand why it gives all these problems with restoring the full backup, I also tried on Ubuntu desktop 20.04 emulated on Unraid, to follow this other guide:
but nothing, the full backup won’t load it.
I really tried everything, even using Home Assistant’s VMDK and qcow2 on Unraid.
I read that in theory I can restore the backup from Hassio Os to Supervised, but why won’t it go?
maybe it is because my Raspberry Pi 3 where I have Hassio Os is aarch64 and the system I want to import the backup to is Supervised x86_64?
I wouldn’t want the only way to get everything working is to emulate the Raspberry Pi on Ubuntu emulated by Unraid? (https://youtu.be/Y-FUvi1z1aU)
