Hassio MTU size > 1500?

Hi everyone,

I trying to find out if Hassio with RaspberryPi supports jumbo frames in a LAN network. Running Tasmoto with Core 2.3.

Any problems with Home Assistant with jumbo frames?

home assistant itself doesn’t know about jumbo frames - only the low level drivers for your NIC know about jumbo frames.

But everything you want home assistant to talk to (including your internet router if you have any external access requirements) will need to be set to jumbo frames.

Looking online, buildroot (base for Hassio) seems to support jumbo frames. No idea about tasmoto.

The Internet itself use an MTU of 1500, jumbo frames are used on MPLS networks, data centers and some applications that needs a larger packet size without fragmentation. A larger MTU on your LAN if supported by all you networks devices may lower you latency a save some cpu cycles.

Thanks. Let me try that again.

Cool. I will give another try.
