Hassio on old Mac mini

Hi
Currently running Hassio on a RP3 but have an old Mac mini 2011 lying around. I am considering moving to that machine by maybe installing Linux on it.

  1. Is that a good solution?
  2. Is there a good guide?

Thanks

I run Hass.io on an Old 2014 Mac Mini, just banged a copy of ubuntu on it and it works really well.

There’s plenty of guides online for the ubuntu/docker/hass.io route.

Sounds good! Could not find a guide on the official page. Does that mean it’s not a recommended solution?

The only officially supported install is on Debian and there is no official guide yet on how to do this. There are however some great community guidelines for this, see here.

just use the nuc image. runs out of the box. but no wifi or bluetooth.
