I am new to home assistant and HASSIO. Is possible to install HASSIO on a Orange PI + 2E ? There is a solution for the Orange PI zero… I didn’t find anything for advanced Orange PI plateforms… especially how to run it on the eMMC
I am not sure if there is a Hassio HassOs image but Hassio can run on most any Linux platform. Most use something Debian based.
In my opinion the Linux based installation gives you more flexibility anyway.
I am running hassio on orange Pc2 by installing the hassio image for orange Pi Prime. It is working just as RPI only exception is that there was some issues is addons because of 64 bits and lack of support for measuring board temperatures.Everything good except that.
You can install Armbian distro on your OPI 2E and try HASSIO with docker: https://www.home-assistant.io/hassio/installation/#alternative-install-on-a-generic-linux-host
Unfortunatly for the PI+2E with the PI prime image… the device don’t even boot 
…

Thats because they both have differnet CPUs. PI+2E has H3 and prime and PC2 has H5. even when the image is available for only prime because of the CPU being same for OPi PC2 ,it is also supported in both.
in this case you will have to go for homeassistant then hassio in armbian OS
It was I did… First install armbian, update/upgrade then nand-sata-install … Then from eMMC, I installed HASSIO with instructions. Only the last one must be personalized for the plateform.

I have an Orange Pi Plus 2E sitting around completely unused.
Do you think maybe you could outline the steps that you took to successfully do this? Including any problems that you ran into?
I’m sure there would be a few of us out there who would be very thankful for such info.
