Hassio on Raspberry Pi 4 stopped booting - black screen

Hi All

After almost a year of running Hassio on Raspberry Pi 4 I unplugged my device from power and when connected it back it stopped booting.

Raspberry blinks green for a few times like reading sd and stops only red is lit and network cable both diods are constantly on.

On screen nothing only black. When I put Sd card to pc in Linux-reader I see all files boot, hassio, overlay, supervisor.

Any idea how to fix booting without loosing my data or how to take aside some backup from my sd? I see backups folder with some tar file around 150kb each.

Thanks for any help

First thing I would do is try another SD card in the Pi to confirm it’s working correctly. Might as well try a fresh install of HA while you’re at it; if it boots and works, then you know for sure it’s the SD card that failed (which is common).

As far as the backup file, are you sure it wasn’t 150MB? 150KB seems crazy small. But regardless, you just upload the most recent backup file during the setup process and you’ll be back to how things were whenever the backup was made.

P.S. Check out the Google drive backup add-on. Makes life a lot easier, even if the SD card does completely. I’m constantly tweaking things and have it make a backup every day or 2, so no matter what I never have to backup from very long ago.
