The documentation is lacking and the community split, can anyone tell me if I2C is usable in HassOS?
I don’t need a tutorial or an explanation, just evidence that someone has actually been able to use an I2C device with Hassio / HassOS.

I have the same problem here.
I have installed raspihats boards in my HASSOS, and it’s not working.
I was finally shown this page by a dev. I can’t speak for what is included in current packages, but following the steps here may solve this. https://github.com/home-assistant/hassos/blob/dev/Documentation/boards/raspberrypi.md
