Have dimmers remember their last dim level

Is it possible to have dimmers remember their last dim level? That way when I click the button to turn it on, it doesn’t go to 100% every time.

Including bulbs if possible

I just built my first MySensors dimmer and it suprised me that the dimlevel is set to 100% after off, then on cycle.
So i guess this is a hass issue?
My first thought was an error in my sketch.
I can’t vote but this really need to be fixed.

Not sure if this applies, but you know hue bulbs default to 100% white and they don’t let you change the default.

I guess this isn’t a golbal home assistant “issue”
I use a mysensors dimmer and i also use a Tellstick and a nexa dimmer.
The telldus live component remember the dimlevel.
The mysensors dimmer doesn’t
For my mysensors dimmer i use 2 “dummy switches” with 2 different dim levels. If i turn my light on with one of the dummy switches, the light goes up to 100% and then dim to the level i want it to be.

@martinhjelmare In my case, is this a normal behaivor for the mysensors component or a home assistant issue?

I think it should be possible to remember the brightness level. See my reply here and my suggestion of sketch code later in this thread:

whichever direction this goes, please make it an optional feature. I may have my lights turned down at night while I was watching a movie, and turn them off before turning off the tv and going to bed. The next morning I do not want them coming back on dim, I want them at normal brightness.
