Does anyone have experience with the HAVEN doorstop-style locks? Such as this:
I’m going to be in a remote location where there are two credible threats: meth addicts who smell money and bears who smell food. Both will expend a lot of energy trying to pound a door down. So I’m building my own solid wood, steel reinforced doors with gate hinges.
I understand that Schlage makes pretty good wireless deadbolts with keypads, and if I have to I’ll go with that. But the HAVEN locks make sense to me. I think they can be configured to drop open in case of power loss or fire.
Does anyone have experience with this, or some other solution that is robust? Thanks!
