Hi;
A good practical system requires multiple sensors in each room and most of the consumer level sensors are wireless nowadays.
I wonder whats the health risk level of wireless and ultrasonic sensors. They are in acceptable levels individually for adults but is there a higher “cumulative effects” when we put several in a room and tens of them in a house and exposed long term on a daily base? And how about the effects of such an intense wifi and ultrasonic signals environment on babies/children and pets?
Can you share your personal experiences and if you find any scientific research on a similar environment please? How can we minimise these concerns about the health risk of the hardware used in home automation?
If you can’t trust governments, who can you trust? I didn’t even know we had a government department called the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency, but they seem to think wifi is ok for children. The only solution to paranoia is tinfoil hats.
Tinfoil is so yesterday.

you could wrap the sensors in tinfoil but they won’t communicate real well.
I certainly don’t trust the government!
I think there are a lot of vested interests and money talks. But you’ve gotta live right?
