Heeeelp ! Deleting renamed entities from Home Assistant / entity_registry

hi,
I am trying to permanently delety devices/entities (iphone etc.) that do not exist anymore or have been renamed.
I dont’t mean, hiding, ignoring, or disabled_by: user. I want them gone, I have also tried deleting the DB and all kind of stuff, but they keep coming back in the entity_registry.
Any Ideas, I now have 12 entries for 3 devices, due to renaming and hoping to find the problem. They must be stored deeper in the HA.

discovery: is disabled
iOS: is enabled (when disabled, entity_registry remains empty, thats if I deleted it first)

I have the same issue. Did you ever find any resolution?

I have tried disabled_by: user which works for a while but the entity registry sensors are ultimately recreated after a couple restarts. Like you, my list is growing.

Nope! They are still there. Seems a common problem. I think this will be addressed in the future.
Annoying as are, they don’t cause any problems. I suggest to just forget about it for now.
