I have three of the following plugs. Two work fine all the time, but one of them keeps randomly restarting when turned on. It is only connected to a tablet drawing around 7w when charging. Tried this in multiple different locations in the house and exhibits the same behaviour.
Is this just a faulty plug or there’s something I can try to fix it? Are there any alternate firmwares available that I may prossibly try? Worst case, I am considering using this just as a repeater.
I just picked up a couple and I am seeing the exact same behaviour with the 1st one I tried…
I noticed in z2m that the firmware is OLD - “2016.10.11” (assuming this is a date).
I wonder if there is newer firmware?
Could be a firmware. But doesn’t explain why only one of the three plugs have this issue. I am using the faulty one as a repeater for now, but I feel that it might be making my zigbee network unstable as it keeps turning off and on quite frequently. I am planning to discard the faulty one.
Of the two I bought recently the other one works great. Both have same FW version. Seems like a hardware issue. I’m going to toss the broken one into recycling
