:house: Heimdall Application Dashboard – Home Assistant Add-on

Hi everyone!

After creating a DokuWiki add-on for Home Assistant, I decided to build another one: Heimdall – a beautiful Application Dashboard that lets you organize and quickly access all your web services and applications in one place.

What is Heimdall?

Heimdall is an elegant, open-source application dashboard with support for hundreds of apps including enhanced links that show live data (like download speeds, temperatures, and more) directly on the dashboard tile.

Installation

Add the repository to Home Assistant with one click:

After starting the add-on, open http://homeassistant.local:8888 and you’re ready to go!

Animated Backgrounds :clapper:

A fun feature: you can use animated GIF backgrounds by placing your GIF in /config/www/ and adding a single line of Custom CSS in Heimdall settings. Full instructions are in the README on GitHub.
