HELP best way - hardware automation light

Hello everyone. I recently bought a new apartment and I am renovating it.
To make it a smart home, I was thinking of installing the bticino living now smart series (https://catalogo.bticino.it/prbt/bticino/sistemi-per-edi-idential-residential/living-now/living-now-smart). Lights, curtains and current meter.
Do you have better advice for full compatibility in home assistant?

For several years in my old apartment I use Insteon for lights and curtains and broadlink and harmony for TV. smartlife and tplink for power outlets and door and motion sensors for automations with conbee 2.

I am very happy with everything except insteon which is not perfectly compatible with home assistant. What do you recommend for the lights ??? Price is not important. I want everything to always work perfectly.

Hello @lubeat what is it that insteon is not doing that you expect? I am happy to help if I can. I am the developer of the insteon module in HA.

teharris1 are you italian ?
do you prefer english language ?

Ciao @lubeat, qualsiasi conversazione in italiano sarebbe molto breve. Ma Google Traduttore è fantastico.

If HA is not responding when you turn the lights on and off then there is a problem with your insteon links. I can help you fix that if you want.

Yes, you are right there are many more options in the US market with insteon than in Europe. I am sure there are many people on this forum who can help with recommendations for the italian market. Sorry I cannot help there.

Si lo voglio.
Puoi aiutarmi a risolvere il problema con insteon ?

What type of devices do you have? In general if you just have dimmers and on/off switches you would go to “Developer Tools -> Services” and select service insteon.add_all_link. In the “Service Data” area enter:

group: 1
mode: responder

Then select “Call Service”. This will put the Hub into linking mode. Then press the “set” button on the device. You will hear the Hub beep. After that the Hub should hear the on/off messages from the device. Do that for each device that is not working correctly.

Grazie mille. ho fatto la prova con 1 ha funzionato .
Ora devo fare gli altri 44 !

Devo fare tutti gli interuttori e dimmer insieme?
Esiste un timeout per il servizio insteon.add_all_link?

Wow, that is a lot of work. The command works once for each device unfortunately. I will think about any other options but for now that is the best one.
