I currently have a Click PLC that monitors and partially controls my wood furnace. It interfaces with a touch screen (cmore micro) that is mounted on the wall on my main floor. I would like to integrate the click plc into home assistant as well so I can view the informaton remotley and get alerts like when it’s time to add more wood. The PLC that I have is capable of the following communicaiton protocols. Since I already have an ethernet connected (this is how the touch screen interacts with the PLC) It would seem to me that ethernet/ip would make the most sense. However, I dont see much conversation regarding the ethernet/ip protocol. Any suggestions?
Built-in Communication Ports (one Ethernet port and
one RS-232 port)and one RS-485 port
Protocols Modbus RTU (master/slave) and ASCII (in/out), Modbus TCP (client/server), EtherNet/IP Implicit and Explicit (adapter server)
