Help disabling the wifi and bluetooth on Yellow with a CM4

Hello I was wondering if anyone can help me?

I’ve got a Home Assistant Yellow with a CM4108032 that has built in wifi and bluetooth.

I’ve been having some issues with ZHA and NETWORK_BUSY being logged and I want to disable the onboard radios on the CM4. I’ve used the nmcli to disable both WIFI and WWAN but I was wondering if there is a way to to properly disable things in a similar way to the RaspberryPI’s boot.txt file?

If someone can let me know it’d be a great help.

Thanks,

Ben.

Anyone have an idea?

Hey man, did you get this figured out?

Try edit the config.txt

Hi Benjamin.

I also have a yellow with CM4108032. I have trouble with Zigbee nodes dropping out and also slow Z-wave respons. Thought maybe it could be the CM4 internal radio disturbing? Where you able to disable wifi and did it solve your problems?

Regards Kjell

Curious to know if a solution was found by @benjaml or others?

I’m running Home Assistant Supervised on a Raspberry Pi 4 w/ Debian 12, and I seem to only be able to do it using rfkill.

I’m thinking of buying a Yellow and would like an answer before selecting my CM4.

Thanks!

I figured it out and documented my solution here:
