Hi, i have some strange issues and i hope someone can help me.
Due the last 2 months i had some issues in one room which has the following devices:
1x hue bulb
1x hue strip
1x hue plug
2x hue remotes
All of these are connected with a hue bridge. The remotes are configured in HA.
These devices had some strange behaviour. It started with randomly turning on the bulb and/or the strip (lights). Than my remotes sent signals to turn on/off everything in that room. (i think this was a battery error and is fixed for now)
Now my lights are turned off but i cant see a service in the logs. It only shows “turned off”. I assume that these “turn off” action comes from another app. is that correct?
I have my hue connected to HA, Alexa, Siri (Homekit) and of course Hue itself.
Finding the reason why the lights are turned off is like looking for the needle in the haystack.
The sad thing is that none of the apps gives me some logs so i dont know which app is causing the issue.
I dont have any automations in the other apps. I automate everything with HA.
Do you know if any apps/hue integrations are faulty right now? Or do you have some tips how i can fix this?
I’m having the exact same issue. I’ve disabled all connections through the desktop philips hue account page too. So the ONLY possibility is Home Assistant. I’m seeing all my philips hue devices turn off with no explanation other than “Turned Off” like you’re seeing.
I’m running the integration with a hue bridge connected.
Im not sure but I think I found my error.
One of my automations changed from turning off one light to Turning off a light group. I am
Not sure if I did this but I think I was it by accident.
The strange thing is that turning on/off the light group by hand will show in the logs.
If this will be triggered by an automation it seems it’s not in the logs.
But I still think I had some other issues which were/are hue software related.
I turned off auto updates on the hue app. Maybe you can try this.
I will keep an eye on this and keep you updated if it happens again.
Thanks I appreciate the reply. The odd part is, I have no groups that my hue lights are apart of. I have a lot of hue lights too and when it randomly shuts off, it shuts all of my hue lights off, not just a specific group. Thanks!
