Help me design my smart irrigation system

I Am trying to build a reliable smart irrigation system connected to home assistant. Since I am new to this topic, I’ve done a bit of research and came up with V1 of what I plan:

Then, after further research, I expanded on my first plan, and this is V2:

I know this is a fairly basic system, but I’d like to start with a simple one and build on it once I have something working.

So, my main issue now is finding the right components. I’m looking for the most reliable, cost-effective components, ones that will last years to come.

  1. Water Pump - I’ve been suggested this pump.
  2. Pressure Regulator - I’ve been suggested this regulator.
  3. Water Tank - Need suggestions.
  4. Smart Switch - Need suggestions.
  5. Tubes - Need suggestions.
  6. Root Dripper - Need suggestions.
  7. Soil Sensor - Need suggestions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Once I’ll have all the components required for V2, I’ll start thinking about V3 and to incroperate home assistant controlled solenoid valves, but first I want to get a working V2.

Feel free to let me know if I am missing something or if I made a mistake in my plan. This is just for my balcony plants. Thanks!
