I have just received a home assistant running on blue odroid but no dongle.
I need to add zigbee, z wave, Bluetooth mesh to it and wish to also run xaomi flower sensors and tuya to it.
I already run, nest, hue, zigbee3 and have a few z wave legacy devices from fibaro days mainly through SmartThings and googlehomeassistant however SmartThings is a little limited. Basically I wish to use home assistant as the device to rule them all.
Hardware suggestions would be appreciated.
Would It be better to add in a xaomi v3 gateway for the Bluetooth or tuya devices and then integrate it ha or simply add in dongles.
Thanks
In what country are you located? Z-Wave choices vary depending on world regions.
Uk thanks for the quick response

OK The Z-Wave stick I use in the US would not help since the brand is only for North America. The Zigbee standard is the same worldwide though.
So, I will say, there are combo sticks you can pick up that have Z-wave and ZigBee combined, and depending on your use case that may be good or bad, but personally I got one and I hate it. I’m just waiting on my zooz Z-wave dongle to show up before I chuck the thing. I am in the US, so I can’t make a recommendation for you on Z-wave, but I will say you should look for a Z-wave 700-series dongle. Anything older is going to be a more limited range, and that is killing me at the moment because I have lead paint and plaster in my walls (100+ year old house), so if you are in the same or similar situation you want to keep that in mind.
