[help needed] Aqara Smart Wall Switch H1 Keeps breaking?

Hi there,

I am looking for some advice or tips on why my Aqara Smart Wall Switch H1 stopped working and seems to break?

So this is my story :

1: i installed a Xiaomi Aqara Smart Wall Switch H1 (no neutral) and it worked perfectly fine for a couple of weeks, and all of a sudden it just stopped working
3: i checked if the cables where still in place and still giving power, both was still good
4: I thought it was a one time thing, so I sent it back and got a new one.
5: I installed the new one, as seen in the pictures. i flipped the switch to test it and heard a sound inside the wall switch and it stopped working again

As far as i know the device is broken again, i installed back the normal old switch which works perfectly fine.

Does anybody have any clue on why this is happening? Or any advice would be muchly appreciated!

Turns out it didn’t break , but because this switch is without neutral wire the led light bulb needs at least 5v for the switch to properly work.

Hey JVR, sorry to revive this thread but I’m having the same issue: no neutral Aqara switch that goes out after awhile. Tried two. Same thing. I just tested them in another junction box and they didn’t break. My setup is connected to a bathroom fan, so when you say it needs at least 5v to work, are you saying that the Aqara no neutral switch is simply not an option? Or was there a way you were able to fix the voltage issue so the switch worked? Thanks for the help!
