Help needed: ESPhome: Connection error occurred: [Errno 104]

Hi.

For some resaon all my ESP devices has started giving me this error-code in the log (and briefly disconnecting and reconnecting)

> WARNING watermeter.local: Connection error occurred: [Errno 104] Connection reset by peer
> INFO Processing unexpected disconnect from ESPHome API for watermeter.local
> WARNING Disconnected from API
> INFO Successfully connected to watermeter.local

  • This occurs roughly every minute on all my devices.
  • Running ESPHome 2023.9.3 (same happened in 2023.9.2)
  • The wifi-connection is stable and there is sufficient power. Router has been rebooted without result.
  • I can not tell for how long this has been going on.

Help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Noticed the exact same issue today. For me it was 100% network related. My dhcp lease time was set to 1 min interval. Increasing the lease time resolved the issue. Assuming it disconnects from network to renew ip.

TY!… that made it for me. … my router is rather old and acting up. could not change lease-time … fetched a new one, set it up and everything is now working properly :+1:t2:

Hi! I have exactly the same problem and my ESP32-LD2410C has a fixed IP address.
Any solution?
Thanks!

I found that the lease-time in my dchp was set to one minute or something like that - i just set it to 24 hrs, and the problem was gone. … i have no idea why/how it was changed, but the dchp server was rather old and started acting up, so i swapped it.

Oh, thank you, @Icarus81 , my DHCP is set to 1 day, too (anyway my router does not allow me to change this).

I have 5 LD2410C installed with ESPHome (4 being of the same model and flashing) and only 2 of them give me this problem. They never stop sending data, although there is no presence or movement in the rooms.
