Help needed - No more + button to add views in dashboards

I’ve been a bit flabbergasted returning to create a new dashboard after having worked on homekit infused (yaml based) for a while.

I’m wanting to revert back to using the “regular” card method, and create a new dashboard from scratch.

the issue is that i have no more + button to add views when creating/modifying a dashboard.

i was expecting to have the + button at the end of my views to the right.

the entire bar is messed up now.

In an existing dashboard with views. Those disappear as soon as i hit the pencil to change.

Anybody any idea how to fix this?

help greatly appreciated

Same issue here.
OS Version: Home Assistant OS 13.2
Home Assistant Core: 2024.11.1

When I click the pencil for Overview:

Same with several different browsers; Safari 14.1.2 (14611.3.10.1.7), Chrome 116.0.5845.187, Firefox 115.17.0esr, Chrome 130.0.6723.117, Safari 16.6.1 (16615.3.12.11.5, 16615)

This is an auto-generated dashboard. I am not using them - and speculate that it is not possible to add views.

OK. I can create a new Dashboard from scratch, and add a View, so the original poster’s fault is still a mystery.

Didn’t realise the Overview can’t be edited, because people in the past claim to have been able to edit it. I wonder what rules/variables/etc determine its content?

A dashboard (incl. overview) can be created as auto-generated based on some predefined rules like “entities per area” etc. Could be a good starting point for some beginners.
