There’s a list of supported devices here:
The device communicates via WiFi (written on the device in two places) not Zigbee.
Zigbee2MQTT works with devices that communicate via Zigbee, not WiFi.
This can be connected with Smart Tuya app. And also to HA via Tuya integration.
I was thinking of removing Tuya integration and connecting everything via Zigbee2mqtt. That’s why I have asked.
In HACS you will find Local Tuya if you don’t want to go through the cloud.
That’s what the people here are trying to tell you. You have a WiFi device. You intend to connect it using Z2Mqtt, which, as the name implies, uses zigbee.
Those are 2 different protocols and Z2Mqtt will never recognise your device. If you want to get rid of Tuya cloud integration then follow @francisp’s advice and use localtuya.
